£500,000 Guaranteed Monte Carlo Begins Tonight at Dusk Till Dawn
Dusk Till Dawn may have its hands full promoting the upcoming International Stadiums Poker Tour (ISPT) but that has not stopped them from continuing to push forward with major events in their Nottingham-based club.
Over the next five days, some of the best poker players in the United Kingdom, Ireland and around Europe will descend on the Dusk Till Dawn club. What is drawing them there like moths to a flame? The Monte Carlo tournament, that’s what.
The Monte Carlo is a £1,000+£100 buy-in tournament that carries a ginormous £500,000 guarantee on the prize pool, which usually results in a first place prize of around £90,000. Huge prizes aside, another draw of the Monte Carlo tournament is its fantastic structure that allows the cream to rise to the top more often than not.
For their £1,100 players receive 30,000 chips and play to a slow blind structure that increases every 60-minutes. There are three starting flights to this latest instalment of the Monte Carlo, with Day 1A commencing tonight at the DTD online poker site. Those playing in Day 1A will receive the same 30,000 starting stack but will play 11 levels that are each 24-minutes long instead of the 60-minute levels that the live players will compete over.

Those of you who are feeling flush with cash can take advantage of the special re-entry system that has available for this tournament. Should you bust out of one of the three start days, you can re-enter on any subsequent Day 1 but not on the same day as you busted. Furthermore, if you manage to progress to Day 2 on one of the starting days but are not happy with your stack size, you can forfeit your stack and try again on a different Day 1.
Obviously, not everyone has a spare £1,100 available to spend on a poker tournament, but DTD are running a series of online and live satellites that can help reduce costs substantially. For example, tonight at 20:00 there is a £50+£8 Mega Satellite taking place at the Nottingham club that has 20 Monte Carlo seats guaranteed! Get yourself down there, it could be the best £58 you ever spend!
