The World Poker Tour National London Main Event has reached its Day 2 where 115 of the 218 players who started remain in the field. The player with the most chips, and therefore title of chip leader, is Lyssandro Rosas.
Rosas flew under the radar for the majority of Day 1B where he managed to turn his 25,000 starting stack into a tournament leading 162,700. Hot on Rosas’ heels is the talented Tamer Kamel and his 151,900 chips. Kamel is in a rich vein of form, having finished seventh in the European Poker Tour Main Event yesterday.
Also well stacked are Sebastian Meuller (128,700), young Brit Jack Salter (118,200) and Mark Segal (110,400).
The field is still packed with well-known players who would all be worthy champions here in London. The PartyPoker Blog will be reporting on the likes of Mathew Frankland (93,900), Manuel Bevand (93,900), EPT San Remo champion Ludovic Lucay (92,600), Simon Deadman (87,500), Manig Loeser (65,400), Kevin Williams (51,700), Karl Mahrenholz (46,300), Lucille Cailly (44,300), Surinder Sunar (36,400), Ana Marquez (32,800), Jamie Burland (26,700) and Gaelle Baumann (25,600).
Play resumes at Aspers Casino Westfield at 14:00GMT and will continue until eight 60-minute levels have been completed. Join us tomorrow to discover which players have made it through, and if the money bubble bursts!
