UK & Ireland Poker Rankings: Trigg Still Top as Saffari Climbs Into Top 10 0001

Rick Trigg is still the man to catch in the UK & Ireland poker rankings, the Sheffield lad continuing to carve his way through tournament fields with apparent ease.

During the past week Trigg passed an online poker milestone when wins in the $25,000 Gtd on PartyPoker, a second place finish in the $265 NL Hold’em Knockout on PokerStars, and a win in the $10,000 Gtd Turbo on PartyPoker pushed his career earnings over the $3,000,000 threshold. Congratulations on that fantastic achievement, how long to get to $4,000,000?

One player who continues to climb the rankings is Martin “molliemalone” Malone who now finds himself in fourth place. He could have been challenging for third place had his impressive run in the TCOOP Main Event not ended in 68th place and he had finished higher. That particular result bagged him just shy of $5,300, his largest cash of the week.

Breaking into the top 10, at the expense of Charlie “chaz_man_Chaz” Coombes is Sebastian “Seab29072” Saffari. Some impressive results in recent weeks including a runner-up finish in the PokerStars $55 1r1A, a win in the PokerStars $215 Turbo and an 11th place finish in the TCOOP High Roller have all added valuable leader board points to Saffari’s total, not to mention funds to his bankroll!

This weekend sees the PokerStars European Poker Tour Deauville main event take place, and with players only able to play on French sites while in France, we would not expect the rankings to change that much. That said, those not making the trip to Normandy will be at an advantage in the rankings and could mount a charge if they put enough volume in.
