Trigg and Evans Chop The Big $162 While Fiskin1 Final Tables the Super Tuesday

Nicky Evans

Tuesday was once again a profitable day for some of the UK & Ireland most recognisable players, with two of them chopping The Big $162 on PokerStars and a whole host of our boys and girls having deep runs in the $1,050 Super Tuesday.

The Big $162 saw 928 players buy in and create a prize pool of $139,200. This was shared out among the top 117 finishers with the likes of “BornSurvivor,” “fish&chIps,” “nemoswims,” reaching the money places.

Four of our players managed to navigate their way through to the nine-handed final table so we were odds on to take it down! “jonwayne69” fell in sixth place, good for $5,623.68 while Janos “Jimmybatsi88” Szabo finished third for $13,502.40 leaving Nicky “Cod Meharly” Evans and Rick “ThEcLaiMEer” Trigg to chop the remaining prize pool up almost evenly; Evans took $21,447.18 and Trigg $21,704.82.

This week’s Super Tuesday saw a massive crowd of 601 players buy in, taking the prize pool to the unprecedented heights of $601,000! Amazing stuff any time of the week, never mind on a Tuesday night!

With a $1,050 buy-in it is no wonder the Super Tuesday attracts the cream of the poker playing crop, and plenty of the UK & Ireland players navigated their way through the field of superstars to get their hands on some prize money.

Dara “SlowDoke” O’Kearney (64th); Tom “hitthehole” Middleton (63rd); JP “MrBarrett82” Kelly (45th); David “davidv1213” Vamplew (17th); Ireland’s “rent82” (15th) all made it into the money places, while “Fiskin1” went the deepest of all our players by finishing sixth for $25,542.50.
