Another Solid Sunday for UK & Ireland Players
Ask any online poker player worth their salt which day they prefer to grind on and they will say Sunday, without a doubt. Sunday’s sport the biggest tournaments – the Majors – that attract the very best to the virtual felt.
Last Sunday UK & Ireland players put in some superb results in the biggest online poker tournaments on PokerStars and this week was no different. Check out some of the fantastic scores by players from our regions.
The $215 buy-in Sunday Warm-Up saw 3,689 players participate and create a prize pool of $737,800. This was shared out among the top 540 places, with the eventual winner scheduled to pick up $115,835.77.
Marc “dean23price” Wright went extremely deep, busting out in 11th place for a $4,426.80 score. Despite finishing in the top 0.3% of the field, Wright was not our deepest finisher. That honour went to Andrew “stato_1” Hulme who finished second for $71,813.34 after a four-way chop that also involved the UK’s “raulbcn.”

The $109+R Sunday Rebuy is regarded as one of the toughest tournaments on the internet but that did not stop 1,041 players buy-in and making 1,451 rebuys between them – 878 add-ons were purchased too.
Online poker legend Chris “Moorman1” Moorman bubbled the final table, finishing tenth for $3,538.50 while “OMGjonyctt” went a few places deeper and finished in sixth place for a $14,322.50 score.

The Bigger $109 saw Lee “4kinghellll” Addis outlast a field of 3,192 to get his hands on the $50,274.67 first place prize. Addis was almost joined on the final table by Charlie “JIZOINT” Coombes but the latter busted out in 13th place after another fine performance.
The biggest win by any of our players is now in the PokerStars account of “Sieder85” who almost went the distance in the Sunday Million, falling just short in second place for a massive score of $171,710.00! Amazing stuff indeed.
“Sieder85” was joined on the final table by Team PokerStars Pro Andre “aakkari” Aakkari (finished sixth) and Ireland’s “Boomaloom” (finished seventh). The eventual winner was the Netherlands’ “Tonaldinho11” who picked up $234,150 for his victory, by far the largest of his career so far.
“Havana85” bagged another huge score just two months after chopping the Super Tuesday three-ways for more than $52,000. Now “Havana85” has an additional $41,882.19 in their account after winning The Bigger $162, which was chopped last week by our very own Nicky Evans and Rick Trigg.
The confusingly named “d7o1d1s0” bamboozled their opponents in the $162 buy-in Sunday 6—Max enough to finish second for $19,928.25.They finished second to Jacob “Bazeman11” Bazeley who said on Twitter that he only had $41 left in his PokerStars account before shipping this event!
