The PokerStars Turbo Championship Of Online Poker (TCOOP) stormed through its fifth day of play with another four supercharged tournaments. Traditionally one of the slower days in the online poker world, this Monday saw thousands of players take to the PokerStars virtual felt to battle it in the TCOOP.
TCOOP Event #20: $82 PL Omaha 6-max 1R1A
The 20th event of the 2013 TCOOP saw play switch to pot limit Omaha, but not just any old version of PLO, a six-max 1R1A edition! A total of 1,082 players participated in this particular event, making 720 rebuys between them and buying 216 add-ons! All told, this created a prize pool of $151,350.00; $26,350 more than the advertised guarantee.
TCOOP Event #21: $27 NL Hold’em 4-Max
PokerStars generally sets its guarantees to a level that look impressive but that they also know will be hit. They set Event #21’s guarantee at $75,000 but even they could not have expected 9,705 players to turn out for the four-max event, creating a massive $238,257.75 prize pool in the process!
The eventual champion, "VeTaZa1988" of Ukraine, walked away with just over $23,000. Not a bad return on $27 in anyone’s book!
TCOOP Event #22: $82 FL Omaha Hi/Lo
Another bumper crowd turned out fo r the 23rd TCOOP event the $82 buy-in fixed limit Omaha Hi/low tournament. Among the 1,136 entrants were some of poker better-known players, including Team PokerStars Pro Marcel Luske who almost reached the final table but busted in 11th place.
The event was chopped three-ways, “netix” of Austria finishing third, Matt “Plattsburgh” Vengrin second and “hoffy26631” claiming top honours.

TCOOP Event #23: $215 NL Hold’em6-Max Hyper-Turbo
Event #23 was crazy beyond belief. The short-handed hyper-turbo format saw the 2,863 entrants reduced to just a single winner in just two hours 24 minutes! The tournament was chopped three ways, the eventual champion being "sanpri" of Mexico who walked away with $73,815.47 – or $512.60 per minute! Astonishing!
