British poker superstars Sam Trickett has signed up with Poker Royalty to aid him in his quest to find a new sponsor.
Trickett, without an official sponsor since his deal with Matchbook ended in September 2012, is number one in the United Kingdom all-time money listings and second winningest player of all-time. Since his first recorded live cash in May 2007, Trickett has gone on to win a staggering $17,470,281 from live tournaments and countless more millions from playing in the highest stakes cash games around the world – particularly in Macau.
The Retford-born pro, who was in attendance at the inaugural Multi Prize Pool poker tournament at the Dusk Till Dawn club last night, had this to say about signing up to the poker agency, Poker Royalty.
“Poker Royalty works with some of the biggest names in poker allowing them to create the best opportunities no other company can provide. I am very excited and honoured to be working with them.”
Although Trickett’s profile is yet to be added to the Poker Royalty site when it is finally uploaded, he will share webspace with some of the most recognisable players in the world. Currently on the Poker Royalty books are players such as Antonio Esfandiari, Daniel Negreanu, Eugene Katchalov, Gus Hansen, Patrik Antonius, Phil Hellmuth and Tom Dwan.
Trickett is currently an ambassador for the International Stadiums Poker Tour (ISPT), but is not actually sponsored by them. Rumours have been circling about whose stable Trickett could find himself in, with Full Tilt Poker being mentioned in a few circles. Who do you think would be the idea sponsor for Trickett to get into bed with?
