A Superb Weekend for Amateur Poker Players

Amateur Poker

With vast sums of money being won at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and the Aussie Millions, the curtain raiser festivals of 2013, it is easy to forget that not everyone in the poker world can afford to fly around the globe and enter tournaments with huge buy-ins. Thankfully, D4 Events and the Amateur Poker Association & Tour (APAT) are running events this weekend that have the amateur players in mind.

On Saturday 26 January, at the Regency Airport Hotel in Dublin, the Amateur Championship of Poker takes place. The €200 buy-in No Limit Hold’em tournament will see players start with a generous helping of 20,000 chips and play to a blind structure that increases ever 40-minutes. What’s more, organisers D4 Events have slapped a €25,000 guaranteed on the prize pool!
