The final table of the UKIPT Bristol Main Event has been set after the 45 players who started Day 3 were eventually whittled down to just eight players. The man who leads them all into battle on Monday will be Wojtek Barzantny and his 2,880,000 stack.
Barzantny will start the day as an overwhelming chip leader and with all of the prying eyes of the media fixated on him and his quest to write himself into UKIPT history. If Barzantny’s name looks familiar it is because he was the man who defeated Chris Moorman heads-up to claim the inaugural UKIPT Online title last week. Now he has the chance to win his second UKIPT title within a week, something that is highly unlikely to happen again in a long time should he succeed.
The player who will start the final table as Barzantny’s closest rival – in terms of chip counts – will be Robert Bull and his 1,342,000 stack. Bull will begin play with less than half the chips of Barzantny, but the mathematics expert will not let that faze him in the slightest, even if he does concede the fact it gives Barzantny a big advantage going into the finale.
The UKIPT Bristol final table will line up as follows:
Each of those players who has reached the final table will sit down safe in the knowledge they have locked up an £8,800 pay day for themselves, but one of them will walk away with the gigantic £90,400 winner’s cheque. Tune into these pages tomorrow to find out who that person is.
