Luke Reeves Leads As GUKPT Blackpool Down To 12 Players 0001

The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) Blackpool main event is down to just 12 players who will sit down at the G Casino Sandcastle at 14:00 this afternoon and play until just one man – or possibly woman – has all of the chips in play.

Going into the final day’s play Luke Reeves holds a massive chip lead; his 826,400 chips more than double the stack size of any other player still in the field! However, a Reeves victory is far from a done deal because there are some fearless poker players still in the chasing pack who are more than capable of catching him.

Although around half of the remaining players will be making their first live cash, some of the other players in the field have cashes aplenty and will fancy their chances of victory in this event. The likes of Ian Gascoigne, Simon Deadman and Rob Boon can all draw upon a wealth of experience and although extremely short-stacked, Stuart Rutter definitely has the talent to go all the way in Blackpool, but he is going to need a lot of help from the Poker Gods as he only has 70,500 chips.

Play resumes at 14:00 and will continue until the GUKPT Blackpool champion has been crowned. Each of the 12 players have locked up at least £2,160 for their efforts in the tournament so far and this will rise to £3,460 for anyone reaching the nine-handed final table. A first place prize of £49,290 awaits our eventual champion. Tune in tomorrow to discover which of the 12 players shown in the chip counts below walked away with the glory and the cash!
