John O’Shea Wins iPOPS III High Roller For $25,270

John O'Shea

Irish poker pro John O’Shea has won the $100,000 guaranteed High Roller event of the iPOPS III festival, giving his bankroll a significant boost in the process.

John O'SheaWon the ipops high roller on @Boylepoker for 25k and another tourney for 20k. Pretty delighted given the last 6 months. #2/2

O’Shea was one of 380 hopefuls who exchanged $370 for the chance to win a slice of the $100,000 guaranteed prize pool, a prize pool that topped the scales at $133,000 by the time registration closed.

The top 63 finishers made it into the money, the unfortunate bubble boy being Sweden’s "SteNfrisk123", with a min-cash being worth $585.20. Some of those who helped themselves to some prize money included Christopher “NigDawG” Brammer (45th), Kenny “b00tylicious” Hicks (31st), and Neil Channing (23rd).

As one would expect, the final table was the home to a number of very talented players, Anders “SirNitAlot” Kourtzman (8th) being one of them. Heads-up was contested between O’Shea, playing as “doesalrite” and his fellow compatriot “dionysiian,” but at just before 04:10 this morning O’Shea found himself in possession of all the virtual chips in play and had won iPOPS III Event #2.

The iPOPS III takes a day’s break today but will return on Nov. 28 with its third event. Event #3 is the $40+$4 rebuy that carries a $50,000 guarantee with it. If the first couple of events are anything to go by then whoever enters the third event will be playing for much more than the advertised $50,000.

If you want to compete in the fabulous iPOPS III series you will need an account on the iPoker Network. Our three leading iPoker partners are William Hill, Poker770 and bet365 each of whom we have exclusive promotions with.
