DTD 500 Deepstack Kicks Off Today; 150 Deepstack Tomorrow

Dusk Till Dawn

While the eyes of the poker world are fixated on the PokerNews live reporting pages to discover if Phil Hellmuth can go all the way and win his 13th World Series of Poker bracelet in the WSOPE Main Event, scores of poker players will be heading to the Nottingham-based Dusk Till Dawn poker club to compete in the 500 Deepstack.

Kicking off at 14:00 today is the first of two starting flights in the £500+£60 buy-in Deepstack event that carries a massive £100,000 guaranteed prize pool. For their money players will receive a 30,000 chip starting stack and play to a superb blind structure that increases ever 60-minutes. Should they somehow manage to dust of their generous helping of colourful ceramic discs, players can re-enter on Friday's Day 1b for an additional £560.

If the £560 buy-in is a little out of the constraints of your bankroll then fear not because the DTD management have decided to run their popular £150+£18 Deepstack event along side it! In this superb tournament players start with the same 30,000 chips as in the bigger event and they even play to the same blind structure except the clock is set at 40-minutes for the 150 Deepstack. As usual the DTD management have also slapped a generous guarantee on the 150 Deepstack, guaranteeing at least £30,000 will be paid out to those who make it into the money places.

Like its big brother, players who bust out on Day 1a can re-enter on Day 1b but no re-entries are permitted on the same day a player busts out.

For those of you who will be in the club on Sunday 7 October to rail your friends and family at their respective final tables, be aware that you may be distracted by the other tournaments taking place! At 14:30 there is a £150 freezeout taking place (£7,500 guarantee), then at 20:00 on there is a £1,000 guaranteed tournament that costs just £25 to enter and a £100 buy-in £4,000 guaranteed! When you take into account the satellites that are running from now until Sunday the Duk Till Dawn are putting up guarantees of around £150,000. Head down there and support their bravery!
