Final Table Set At English Poker Open; Jamie Roberts Leads
The English Poker Open has reached its nine handed table and on paper it looks like it could be an extremely entertaining affair indeed. Leading the way going into today's finale is Jamie Roberts with 616,500 chips.
Londoner Roberts has a number of impressive results on his Hendon Mob page and although not a household name as such, will definitely hold his own on this final table. Roberts' biggest score tops the scales at £21,500 which he was awarded for winning the 2008 European Poker Championships, and he even has a GUKPT final table to his name and a 341st place finish in the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event.
Nicola Lategao (453,000) starts the day second in chips but he will not be relishing taking on some of the most recongnsable names and faces in the industry. Team PokerStars Online Pro Mickey Petersen (422,000) will be present and correct, as will the very talented Ben Jackson, poker veterans Surinder Sunar and Chris Bjorin and the high stakes tournament guru Igor Kurganov!
If you want to watch these guys in action then head over to the English Poker Open site where there will be live streaming from 14:00 this afternoon.
