Following on from the £500,000 Guaranteed Deepstack event held at the Dusk Till Dawn poker club over the past week, the Nottingham-based club are hosting the Grand Final of the 2011/12 Sky Poker Tour.
The highlight of the weekend's action is without a doubt the £330 Sky Poker Tour Grand Final, a two-day event that carries a guarantee of £75,000; making it by far the most prestigious and richest stop on the popular tour's calendar.
Satellites are still available online but time is rapidly running out as the player cap for this event is set at 250. In other stops on the tour alternates have been accepted for a few levels but this cannot be guaranteed to happen in the Grand Final so if you are wanting to play make sure you buy in as soon as you possibly can.
Last year's Sky Poker Tour Grand Final saw 374 players battle it out for a slice of the £74,800 prize pool – the Grand Final cost just £200 in 2011 – and it was James Williams who walked away with the lion's share of the cash, taking home £22,264 after besting a tough final table that was also the home to Black Belt Poker's Jamie Burland.
This year should be just as hotly contested as the likes of Sky Poker pro Julian Thew will be in attendance, as will Tony "Tikay" Kendall and Stuart Fox who will all add to the superb atmosphere that the Sky Poker Tour produces.
It is possible to qualify for this event for as little as £3.60 but as we mentioned earlier, seats are limited so do not delay, act now and bag your seat to what should be one of the best low-stakes tournaments of the year.
