The WSOP.com Online Poker Summer Series kicks off tonight at the Rendezvous, Brighton with the first of four events. The casino has guaranteed at least £22,000 will be paid out across the four tournaments so head down to Rendezvous tonight and get involved in the Summer Series.
The series actually started yesterday but with a £10+£5 rebuy satellite to Saturday's Main Event. Tonight marks the first official event, the £100+£10 No Limit Hold'em tournament. Players will start with 10,000 chips and should they somehow manage to dust those off before the end of Level 3 they can simply re-enter by paying another £110. This particular tournament has a £5,000 guarantee slapped on it so first place should be a nice little bankroll booster for someone.
Friday sees another rebuy satellite take place before an £80 buy-in Re-entry tournament takes place in the evening. For £80 players receive 8,000 chips and, like tonight's tournament, can re-enter up to the end of the third level of place. Again, the prize pool is guaranteed to reach at least £5,000.
As with most poker festivals the most anticipated tournament on the schedule is the Main Event. The WSOP.com Online Poker Summer Series' Main Event is a 2-day tournament that costs £220 to enter. For this money players receive 25,000 chips, a 60-minute clock and for those who manage to make it that far a complementary buffet is provided. Re-entry is available for four levels and £12,000 is guaranteed in prizes!
As a bonus, players who choose to buy into the Main Event on WSOP.com will have the £20 registration fee waived by the Rendezvous, effectively knocking 10% off the buy-in! For those value-hunters out there, this is a massive saving and one PokerNews can help you make.
Download WSOP.com via PokerNews links and you will be able to help yourself to an Instant £20 bonus or a 150% match up to £500 welcome bonus. Add this to the £20 you will save by buying into the Summer Series Main Event and you could be quids in!
Rounding out the mini-festival is an £85 No Limit Hold'em Deepstack Turbo event. Here players start with a generous stack of 30,000 chips but the clock is set to 15-minutes making for an interesting dynamic. Unlike the previous events this one is played to a freezeout format.
