The Asian Poker Tour is currently in Macau where its latest Main Event has reached its final table. Although Macau us at the other side of the world it did not deter our very own Sam Razavi from jetting off to the world of high stakes poker to play in the APT Macau Main Event.
Razavi went into the 10-handed final table armed with 203,000 chips – enough to place him eighth in chips - and as usual he was in the mood to entertain his Facebook friends and Twitter followers. Unfortunately for Razavi and his fans, his tournament came to an abrupt end thanks to a horrible run of cards.
First he managed to get his chips into the middle with pocket jacks only to run into a pair of kings then he committed the rest of his short-stack with king-ten only to find a caller holding a lowly pair of deuces. Razavi caught a king on the flop but his opponent also flopped a set to send the Black Belt Poker pro to the rail with HKD$122,600 (£10,080).
This latest score takes Razavi's live tournament winnings ever closer to the $500,000 barrier, something he could cross at the upcoming Black Belt Poker Nottingham Live event where he will be dressed as a clown for the duration of the event. Read more about that here.
Congratulations and commiserations to Razavi on his final table appearance. Onto the next one sir.
