Sky Poker Tour Heads To Blackpool
The penultimate leg of the 2011-12 Sky Poker Tour takes place this weekend in the United Kingdom's version of Las Vegas in what should be a thrilling tournament.
The G Casino, Blackpool is the venue for Leg 6 of the popular tour and this £220 buy-in Main Event has a slight twist to it in that it will be played to a Bounty Hunter format. Each player will start with a bounty on their heads that is awarded to the player who eliminates them, meaning players have the chance to walk way with some cash prizes even if they do not make it through to the money!
Last time out the Sky Poker Tour found itself in Wales where Colin Napier defeated Jen Mason heads-up to scoop the £4,080 first place prize. We have a feeling the Blackpool leg will be even larger as the players drop their kids off with their other half to go play on the beach whilst they head to the casino!
After the Blackpool leg the Sky Poker Tour takes a short break until September 8 when it heads north to the Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club in Nottingham for the season-ending Grand Final. This particular tournament will be played over the course of two days, commands a £330 buy-in, will be capped at 250 players and should be an absolute beauty of a weekend!
