In March we brought you the news that Paul “Pab” Foltyn had signed his first sponsorship deal with Bet24, who are part of the Ongame Network. Well it appears that contract was torn up and he has signed his second sponsorship deal with the Merge Network site FeltStars.
Foltyn made the announcement via his Twitter and Facebook account where he was first congratulated but his fellow British pro Sam Grafton posted a link to our March article to which Foltyn responded by explaining Bet24 had been purchased by Unibet and as a result the Bet24 pro roster had been dissolved.
The new deal comes as no surprise as Foltyn is one of the most liked poker players in the UK when away from the felt but one of the most respected and feared on it. At time of writing he is ranked, by PocketFives, seventh in the UK and 41st in the world for online poker tournaments thanks to him rapidly approaching $4,000,000 in winnings at the virtual felt.
Folytn is currently in Las Vegas for the 2012 World Series of Poker where he has cashed twice so far. He busted out in Event #2 in 95th place ($3,970) and more recently he crashed out in 97th place in Event #23 ($5,019). He was due to play the new 4-max event tomorrow but has chosen to miss it in favour of a $1,000 buy-in event being played at the Venetian.
fading the wsop 4 max tomorrow and heading to the venetian for the $1k, #nit4lifeFollow @Pab09
