Details of the paddypowerpoker.com sponsored Irish Winter festival 2012 have been released so mark in your calendars the dates October 26 through to October 29 and book yourself a room at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin.

The full schedule of side events is still being formalised and we will publish them once we have them in our possession but one event has definitely been given the go-ahead, the €1,000+€125 No Limit Hold'em Main Event. This year's Main Event has a little twist to it in that it will be the first time the "Six Survivors" promotion has run.

This fantastic promotion is open to anyone who qualifies for the Irish Winter Festival on paddypowerpoker and as the name implies pays out the last six survivors in that particular tournament. In addition to the prize money they win from the event itself, each of the Six Survivors will receive a free entry into the 2013 Irish Open where they will become part of the Sole Survivor promotion there. In that particular promotion the last standing paddypowerpoker player will walk away with an additional €50,000 in cash and a €50,000 sponsorship package.

The first Irish Winter festival 2012 online super satellite takes place this Sunday where there will be two packages worth €1,800 each up for grabs. There are feeders running to this super satellite right now and as an added bonus if you qualify for the Irish Winter Festival 2012 you will also receive a free €50 sports bet to do with as you please!

Last year John Keown (pictured) bested a field of 395 runners to walk away with the €100,000 first place prize. Will it be you who we are talking about come the end of October?

Download paddypowerpoker through PokerNews and you will be rewarded with a 200% up to $2,000 first deposit bonus. What's more, you will be eligible to play in all future promotions that we hold with the Irish poker giant.
