Roberto Romanello Closing In On EPT player of the Year Top Spot

The popular Italian-Welshman Roberto Romanello always seems to have a beaming smile on his face whenever you see him (unless he's just been sucked out on in a major tournament that is) and that smile will certainly be on display if he continues his climb up the PokerStars European Poker Tour Player of the Year leaderboard.

Romanello, winner of EPT Prague in Season 7, is currently in second place with 2,440 points, a mere 30 behind the current leader Ondrej Vinklarek on 2,470 points. Romanello has had some great results during Season 8 of the EPT as shown in the table below:

With Romanello having a very realistic chance of overtaking Vinklarek and eventually being crowned the EPT Season 8 player of the Year it is almost guaranteed that we will be seeing him at all the last stops of the calendar.
