This weekend saw the PaddyPower Poker Student Masters take place at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin where 169 eager poker playing students paid the €100+€10 entry fee creating a prize pool of €16,900. After 13 and a half long hours of poker the nine-handed final table was reached and the tournament paused until Thursday 5 April, the eve of the Irish Open Main Event.
When play resumes on Apr.5 it will be Sam Jackson who is the man they all have to catch if they want to walk away with the 44,650 first place prize and a €3,500 seat to the Irish Open where they could potentially wins hundreds fo thousands more Euros.
The nine final table members will represent six different colleges and Universities; the chip counts are as follows.

Positions 10-18 were settled during the day's play with the money ranging from €200 up to €400 though the 19th place finisher, Connor Lake, won a €120+€10 ticket to an Irish Open satellite on PaddyPowerPoker for being the unfortunate bubble boy.
