Have got £1,070 burning a hole in your back pocket then why not head down to the Grosvenor Casino in Walsall and enter the GUKPT Walsall Main Event?
At 14:00 today the GUKPT Main Event gets underway and for your money you will receive 20,000 tournament chips and will get to play to the tried and test 60-minute blind structure that has served the tour so well in the past. Last year's event attracted a total of 172 players who were eventually outlasted by black cab driver Andy Mansbridge, who walked away with £50,000 to show for his time and effort in Walsall.
If the £1,000+£70 entry fee is out of your bankroll constraints then there is also a one-day £100+£10 No Limit Hold'em freezeout starting at 19:30 where you receive a starting stack of 7,500 and play to a 15-minute clock, whilst Saturday 17 March sees a two-day £500+£50 No Limit Hold'em Freezeout (15,000 stack and 45-minute clock) kick off at 16:00 and another one-day £100+£10 No Limit Hold'em freezeout.
Should you find yourself out of the tournament having dusted off your stack then why not has a wander around Walsall and see what you can stumble upon? You could visit the likes of the Walsall Arboretum, visit the New Art Gallery Walsall that only opened in 2000 or even take a trip to the leather museum to see why the call the local football team The Saddlers who you will not be able to see in action as they are away to Yeovil Town.
Good luck to everyone taking part in GUKPT Walsall over the next few days, in particular Sky Poker's Julian Thew who is looking for an unprecedented fourth title!
