This month's £300+£30 Fox Poker Club Main Event is well and truly underway after the 105 players who descended on the London-based club yesterday were whittled down to just 29, with Grant Pireie leading the way.
Pireie will return to his seat this afternoon armed with a tournament leading stack 363,000 chips, over 200,000 more than his nearest rival Ruslan Vlasov on 139,200. According to the Hendon Mob database Pireie has no major cashes to speak of so if he reaches the nine-handed final table it will represent his first-ever cash, whilst you may remember Vlasov's name as he won the inaugural Genting Poker Series at the start of February for a cool £16,000.
Also over the 100,000 chip barrier are Leo Lim (129,100), Tim Maxwell (118,000) and Rashid Elqmache (103,100).
When play resumes at 14:00 there will be a seat re-draw and when the tournament director orders his team to shuffle up and deal the blinds will be 1,000/2,000/100a and the average stack will be 81,500.
At the bottom of this article there is a live feed to the Fox Poker Club's live updates pages, so be sure to check them out throughout the day, especially if you have family and friends still in the tournament! Good luck to all those involved.
