Dual Winners on the Sky Poker Tour
The excellent Sky Poker Tour had a little twist this weekend in that they ran two events, 100s of miles apart may we add, at the same time! Whilst the tour was down in sunny Brighton there was another leg of the tour running concurrently in bonny Glasgow!
A total of 145 players turned up to each event though the payouts were slightly different as the decision was made to pay the top 14 at the Rendezvous Casino in Brighton but the top 15 at the Alea Casino in Glasgow.

In Brighton Sam Shackleton spoiled the party by somehow managing to turn around a six-to-one chip deficit to beat the Sky Poker sponsored Julian Thew. Had Thew finished off the job he would have won back-to-back titles having won the Luton leg the last time out. According to the extensive Hendon Mob database this was Shackleton's first major cash and what a way to do it, by staging an epic comeback against a former EPT champion and the only player to have won three GUKPT Main Events.

Up in Glasgow it was third time lucky for Jamie Rhind (pictured) who already had two cashes on this season's Sky Poker Tour and now he has a win to his name too. Along with the £3,500 he picked up for winning the Glasgow leg, Rhind also picks up a Sky Poker Tour Grand Final seat just as Shackleton does for his victory in Brighton.

There are just three stops left on this season's calendar and you can next play in its fifth leg in Cardiff. The Cardiff stop is a one day event to be held at the Les Croupiers Casino on Saturday 28th April. Satellites for this event will appear on Sky Poker in the coming days.
