If short-handed poker tournaments are your thing then head off down, or up depending on where you're based, to the fantastic Dusk Till Dawn poker club in Nottingham for the latest instalment of the 250 Six Max that kicks off this afternoon.
The £250+£30 Six Max event carries a substantial £25,000 guarantee with it but if the last tournament is anything to go by then this figure will be smashed. When the tournament ran a couple of week ago a total of 121 players entered, which created a prizepool of £30,250 that was shared out amongst the final two tables of the event.
On that day Stacy Coore finished in the unlucky 13th spot, the exact money bubble. Coore exit meant everyone else still in the tournament was guaranteed £423.50 for their efforts. The prize money steadily increased and when Duncan McLellan was busted out in seventh place; setting the final table, the last six players had each locked up £1,361.25.
The tournament was eventually won by Philip Hepburn who picked up the £10,587.50 for beating Van Tuan Phan heads-up. Phan won £6,050 for his runner-up finish.
Today's tournament kicks off at 14:00 and for your money you will receive a starting stack of 15,000 chips and will play to a 30-minute clock. Should you bust out before 18:40 you can actually re-enter by paying the full £250+£30 but for that you will receive a full starting stack of 15,000 chips.
