Shaun Cook Wins 250 Six Max At Dusk Till Dawn

Dusk Till Dawn

The 250 Six Max tournament took place at the Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club in Nottingham this weekend attracting a total of 77 players, each of them paying the £250+£30. The management team breathed a sigh of relief when from those 77 player 23 of them re-entered so the £25,000 guarantee was met!

Although the field was smaller than anticipated there were some very talented individuals amongst the 77 runners including the likes of John Exley, James "epitomised" Atkin, Thomas Middleton, Maria Demetriou and Ben "f3nix35" Dobson but none of the names mentioned managed to make it through to the top ten finishing positions were the money was awarded.

Neither did Keith Smart but his exit was the most painful as he was the 11th place finisher, the bubble boy, Smart's demise meant everyone else was guaranteed at least £375 for their efforts. This amount was picked up by Razin Sheikh and one-by-one the field was being reduced right up to Shaun Cook finding himself heads up against Owen Seivright.

It was Cook who emerged victorious, getting his hands on the £8,750 first place prize and leaving Seivright to pick up the £5,250 runner-up prize; the first major live score of Seivright's career.

This weekend the DTD club will be bursting at the seams because the 500 Deepstack has had its guarantee increased to a massive £250,000! This increase in guarantee should see a first place prize of more than £70,000, not bad at all from a £500+£60 investment!
