The man of the moment, Sam Trickett, is on his way to Macau to take part in some of the biggest cash games on the planet. Trickett flew to Macau last year and according to an interview with Bluff Europe Magazine he walked away with more than £1,000,000 in profits!
Trickett was due to fly out before the weekend but put off those plans to spend some time with his girlfriend, Natasha, and his friends but he is certainly fired up for some action, stating on his Facebbok page that he is “loving poker right now.”

Any profit at all would top off what has been an amazing 2011 for the British pro, who now tops the British all-time money listings! The former professional footballer already had a number of massive scores to his name but since the start of the year Trickett has been on fire.
A win in the A$100,000 buy-in event at the Aussie Millions netted him A$1,525,000 and he followed that up a few days later by finishing second to Erik Seidel in the A$250,000 buy-in Super High Roller event for another A$1,400,000. Most people would call that a good year and take their foot off the gas but not Trickett, instead he got busy going deep in the inaugural Epic Poker League, and reaching the final tables of the £20,000 buy-in High Roller at EPT London and the €5,000 Pot Limit Omaha event at the World Series of Poker Europe!
Oh, and let us not forget the not-so-small matter of taking down the Partouche Poker Tour Main Event for a cool €1,000,000! I really feel sorry for his opponents out in Macau! Hopefully Mr Trickett will keep us well informed about his cash game exploits in Macau and if he does we will bring them to you on these very pages.
