Potentially Epic World Poker Tour Final Table Set

The World Poker Tour is currently in Marrakech and the 274 players who each parted company with €3,000 to participate in the Main Event have been whittled down to the final nine, and what a final nine they are.

Returning to the Casino de Marrakech this afternoon are a trio of Team PokerStars Pros in the shape of Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Arnaud Mattern and the former World Series of Poker Main Event champion Jonathan Duhamel, meaning this should be a real cracker of a final table!

Each of the talented trio have locked up at least €21,161 though each will be extremely disappointed if they do not walk away with the top prize of €201,700 and the title of WPT Marrakech Champion.

The chip leader going into the final table, which kicks off at 1400 GMT, is lead by local player Mohamed Ali Houssam, his 1,330,000 stack enough to keep him ahead of the rest of the field. The aforementioned Duhamel starts the day with 1,126,000 chips and hot on his heels is another Moroccan in Hassan Fares with 1,110,000 chips.

As you can see from the table below, there is very little difference in the top six players and one large pot could see them snatch the chip lead from Ali Houssam. It should be a great final table and updates can be found on the World Poker Tour Live Updates page.
