The first ever English Deep Stack Poker Championship has concluded in Luton. Amy Trodd emerged victorious after defeating Italian Pino Valentino heads up, taking down the first prize of £25,000.
Trodd is a well-known face both at the poker tables and behind the scenes in the industry. She works for Ladbrokes Poker by day but is a regular fixture on the UK circuit, most recently having narrowly missed the final table at DTD Monte Carlo at the end of last year. She is also the girlfriend of GUKPT Cardiff Champion Karl Mahrenholz.
The £500 event saw players start with a 50,000 starting stack and a slow clock. Amazingly despite the super deep structure this event was finished in extra quick time. Congratulations to Amy Trodd and the next event on the DeepStack tour is in Vienna starting April 13.
