John Gray Wins BoylePoker International Poker Open
Once again the BoylePoker IPO commanded one of the biggest tournament fields ever seen in Europe, with 1,293 players in total for this year’s event (Which is especially impressive given the tournaments strong French following was depleted this year because of changes to French poker regulation). After three days of play at the Regency Hotel in Dublin, local boy John Gray of Drogheda was crowned the winner.
He pocketed the princely sum of €50,600 which is some return from the €200 buy-in, which is what makes this low stakes live event special. Gray wasn’t the only big winner, as the IPO itself scooped the ‘Poker Festival of the Year’ award at the Irish Poker Awards which was being held in conjunction with this event.
This writer was there for the entire weekend and it was, once again, one of the best events of the year. Stay tuned for a full trip report this week.

Full Tilt Poker Million IX Final Table ****Spoilers*****
The final heat is in the books and we have a thrilling final table set for later this year at the Full Tilt Poker Million IX in London. Brighton chairman Tony Bloom, Barny Boatman, Howard Lederer and Seth Webber were joined this week by Gus Hansen, Patrik Antonius and WSOPE Main Event Champ James Bord.
Bord is probably going to be the player to watch in the final, a relative unknown just 2 months ago he has gone on to capture WSOPE Gold, a Marrakech High Rollers event and now the final of the biggest studio tournament in poker.
But there is still time to make a huge impact on this event, as once again Full Tilt Poker are allowing an eighth player a fasttrack straight into the televised final with their parachute promotion. On December 1 at 14:35 ET there will be a 5,000 FTP satellite with the coveted 8th spot on offer to the winner.
You need a Full Tilt Poker account to get there though, and with a 100% up to $600 First Deposit Bonus and a $100,000 First Deposit Freeroll – now might just be the best time to get one!
