EPT London Smashes UK Attendance Record Once Again
Just as we predicted, the PokerStars EPT London broke its own UK attendance record yesterday. Did we say broke? We meant smashed, pulverised and destroyed its previous record by a huge margin. The previous record was 730 and with 509 players in day 1b yesterday, the total number was an outstanding 848!
All of which means a first prize of £900,000 to the eventual winner as well as a place in history.
Despite such a huge turnout the action was fast yesterday and just 235 players survived, creating a combined day 2 of 381 later on today. Amongst the day 1b leaders is Chelsea legend Tony Cascarino finished in 3rd place and PokerStars Pro Jude Ainsworth in 6th spot. Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Sam Trickett, the Devilifish, Liv Boeree and JP Kelly are all among big names coming back for more today.
Our Live Reporting Team will be there from the 1st and to the last today from noon, so bookmark our EPT Live Updates page for all the action from day 2 of EPT London.
We have a new $1000 Freeroll Series from WSOP.com which we are almost guaranteeing will have a very low attendance, so get in quick before everyone finds out.
