UK Pokernews Roundup: Liv Boeree Leaves Ultimate Bet Rumours and Fox Poker Club Delays Opening
Liv Boeree Leaves UltimateBet?
This is not confirmed but there is some heavy speculation that EPT San Remo champion Liv Boeree has parted ways with her long time sponsor Ultimate Bet. A thread started on 2+2 alerted us to the rumour and not only has she reportedly not been wearing UB logos recently and she has also been removed from the Team UB page of the UltimateBet website.
Boerees stock is so high right now in poker, especially as the show of her taking down EPT San Remo has just aired on Channel 4 in the UK, that we doubt she will be waiting long before being snapped up by another sponsor, if the rumours indeed are true.
Fox Poker Club Delays Opening
The Fox Poker Club in association with PKR.com regrets to announce that the official opening of London’s first ever fully liscensed poker club will be delayed. The decision to postpone the opening due to technical issues was made reluctantly, but it was the preferred option to ensure a successful launch.
Chris North, managing director of Fox Poker Club, comments:
“Our final inspections before opening raised a few technical issues which though easily resolvable, mean we’re going to have to put back the opening. This is obviously very frustrating but we want to make sure everything is perfect; we’re raring to go and we’d like to apologise to the thousands of people who have already signed up for their free membership. We can however assure them that they will be able to enjoy the pleasures of London’s first ever poker club very soon.”
A new launch party will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
