Full Tilt Poker Million Starts Monday
The FullTiltPoker.com Poker Million IX is back this month with its first three heats in London, where some of the top players in the UK will meet the world elite from overseas for a $500,000 first prize. The first three 8 handed heats start next week with the winner of each making the December final live on Sky Sports, the runners-up from each heat will meet in a runners-up heat in October after the second run of heats begins on October 12.
Howard Lederer, Ross Boatman, Stuart Rutter, Chris Ferguson, Patrik Antonius, Neil Channing, Gavin Smith, Tony G, Annette Obrestad and Mike Matusow are all amongst the players expected for the first three heats. Last year James Akenhead rounded off an amazing 2009 by winning this coveted TV event.
This time round the stacks have been tripled and you can still qualify for this event at Full Tilt Poker. There will also be the innovative Parachute Promotion where one lucky online qualifier will win a place in the final table with a 150,000 starting stack (Everyone else gets 300,000).

One more big Brit result to report in Vegas over at the Mega Stack Series at Caesars Palace. The month long festival culminated in a $1000 main event which was won by Darren Thompson of Kent. This event was won two years ago by UK deep stack specialist Kevin O’Leary and now Darren chalks up another six figure win for the Brits with his $140,901 score this month.
