GUKPT Coventry Begins Today
No sooner does one major UK poker festival end in Nottingham than another one begins just down the M1 in Coventry. The luxurious G Casino at the Ricoh Arena plays host to their first full Grosvenor UK Poker Tour festival from today with the £1000+£70 main event taking place on Friday. There is a busy side event schedule which includes a PLO event on Thursday, all of which will award an added value Champion of Champions seat to the winner (Which will also take place at this venue in December).

Monday 17th - 7.30pm - £200 NL Hold'em Freezeout
Tuesday 18th - 7.30pm - £100 NL Hold'em Rebuy
Wednesday 19th - 7.30pm - £300 NL Hold'em Freezeout
Thursday 20th - 6.00pm - £250 PLO Double Chance Freezeout
Thursday 20th - 8.30pm - £150 Super Sat to the Main Event
Friday 21st - 2.00pm - £1,000 NL Hold'em Main Event
Friday 21st - 7.30pm - £100 NL Hold'em Freezeout
Saturday 22nd - 7.30pm - £250 NL Hold'em Freezeout
Sunday 23rd - 5.00pm - £100 NL Hold'em Bounty Freezeout

You can buy in directly online to any of these events at Blue Square Poker as well as winning your package to the GUKPT Main Event of your choice on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Add to that an exclusive £11 free tournament token promotion when you sign up via UK Pokernews and a $500 sign up bonus, and that’s plenty of reason to get involved in the best value tour in the UK.

Diane Ambler Wins Betfred Ladies Tour Leeds
The opening leg of the 2010 Betfred Ladies Tour kicked off in style at the Alea Casino in Leeds last weekend. An impressive field of 86 took part in the event, which when you consider there was a womens event taking place at the UKIPT at Dusk Till Dawn the same day, it’s a great sign for womens poker.

The eventual winner was Diane Ambler from Uxbridge who took down the title after 12 hours of play, winning with pocket eights which was also the hand she started the tournament with. She took down a £2,950 first prize as well as a seat in the Grand Final, where a £20,000 sponsorship package will be on offer.

The next leg will be at the Owlerton Casino in Sheffield, you can qualify exclusively online at Betfred Poker.
