Pokerstars UKIPT Nottingham Huge Attendence
As excepted, the UK & Ireland Poker Tour event at Dusk Till Dawn has become one of the biggest UK events ever, with a grand total of 650 players. That makes it second only to last year’s EPT London which attracted 730 runners and also makes it the largest event ever on a new UK tour. All of which makes for a £325,000 prize pool and a £80,000 first prize – not bad at all for a £500 tournament.
With day 1b in the books, 277 players will return for day 2 at noon today. The chipleader from yesterday is Joseph McCormack who has 113,000 and just behind day 1a leader Aman Atwal with 117,600. With 72 players making the money its unlikely the bubble will burst today, but we will be keeping an eye on the Blondepoker live updates as day 2 develops in Nottingham.
You can qualify for all the remaining legs of the UKIPT at Pokerstars.
British Masters Leeds to Include World Cup Break
We noticed this month that the Leeds leg of the British Masters Poker Tour clashed with the upcoming England vs USA World Cup Match on June 12th next month, so we got on the blower to find out if they will be showing it. Thankfully they clearly are footy fans at the Leeds Gala Casino and as a result they have changed the schedule for the day, it will now start an earlier at 2pm and have a 2 hour break at 8.15pm so we can all watch the match during the break – nice work guys.
