Today is the third leg in what is fast becoming the busiest poker tour in the UK and Ireland. The Pokerstars UK & Ireland Poker Tour travels down the M1 to Coventry to start a 4 day campaign in the plush new G Casino. The £550 main event starts day 1a today at 2pm and with a 300 capacity, is expected to smash its £100,000 guarantee just like it did in Manchester in February, with 152 players registered in advance already.
Last time out Zoeri Zandvliet defeated FTOPS main event winner Jack Ellwood heads up to take the Manchester crown, while Irish legend Padraig Parkinson took down the opening event in Galway at the end of last year.
There is also a busy side event schedule with a £100 freezeout tonight and tomorrow at 9pm, a £300 freezeout on Saturday at 9pm and a £200 freezeout on Sunday at 4pm.
Stay tuned to Pokernews for all the latest on this event and you can check out the live updates over at the Pokerstars UKIPT site.
Meanwhile you can now qualify for the next leg of the tour at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham between 12-17 May. Make no mistake, this is likely to be the biggest event of the year at DTD and possibly in the UK full stop, as demand was so big that an extra day 1 was added. You can win your £560 only at Pokerstars.
