Devilfish Movie To be Made?
UK poker legend Dave ‘The Devilfish’ Ulliott is currently putting the finishing touches to his autobiography and he has hinted he is in talks to make a movie about his life too. Ulliott is the all time money winner in the UK, with $5.6 million in winnings, as well as WSOP and WPT titles to boast. But prior to poker he lived a much shadier life which included safe cracking, prison time and working as a bouncer, it was only after his second spell in prison that he took up poker in a big way.
As you can imagine that has prompted some pretty funny threads on the poker forums speculating just who should play Ulliott in the movie, the main names touted being Vinne Jones and Danny Dyer (Clearly everyone unaware that Dave is from Hull and both actors have not demonstrated much versatility beyond cockney) but the Devilfish himself indicated it might be Tom Hardy, star or Layer Cake and Bronson, who actually looks a decent choice for the role should it ever be made.
You can vote for Dave to play in the televised WSOP Tournament of Champions $1 Million Freeroll in our special Facebook Campaign - we really want to get a UK player in this event so don't forget to tell your friends!
