Georges Tohme wins Paradise Poker Tour London
The first ever Paradise Poker Tour main event in London was a huge success which has created a real buzz about the rest of the tour. 257 entrants in total went down to the Empire Casino at Leicester Square in London, which created a prize pool of £128,500. The eventual winner was Georges Tohme from the UK who took down the £23,500 first prize, he commented after the win:
‘I’m delighted to win the first leg of the tour. The structure and venue was excellent. Paradise have certainly filled a gap in the market with a low buy-in tournament and structure you’d expect to find at one of the larger established tournaments. I’m looking forward to the next one in Prague already and securing my place at the top of the tour leader board.’
Bryan Carroll, Marketing Manager for ParadisePoker said ‘Player feedback has been great and everyone really liked the structure which we’d spent quite a long time perfecting. It was great to see the maximum number players enter for the inaugural event which confirms our belief that there was a gap in the market for a low buy in tournament with a great structure. I’m now really looking forward to the next event in Prague on February 27th & 28th.'
You can qualify for the next event only at Paradise Poker.

Shane Lynch in Poker Reality Show
More Irish poker news, sort of, now as Boyzone star Shane Lynch is set to exhibit his poker skills in a new reality TV show. The Dublin based singer was given a year to perfect his poker before competing in the Ladbrokes Killarney Festival in October, in a show which will air in the new year.
He commented "Basically it's an Irish reality poker programme, I know nothing about poker and was quite intimidated by it so the experience is to learn how to play and actually end up in one of the big tournaments down in Killarney, so I have about a year or so to get my head around poker."
