GUKPT Champion of Chamions Preview

GUKPT Champion of Chamions Preview 0001

This weekend sees the end of the 2009 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Season with the prestigious Champion of Champions event at the G Casino in Luton. The £100,000 freeroll is open to anyone who has won a GUKPT Main or Side event this year, as well as anyone who has won a GUKPT online event and selected APAT competitions. You can still qualify for the event by winning one of the four remaining side events over in Luton this week before the final on Saturday (But please remember the very strict dress code at the G Casino in Luton).

The starting stacks vary depending on the number of and size of events won. For example Karl Mahrenholz has won a main event and three side events, so starts with the maximum of 25,000. Likewise Richard Gryko won a main event, a side event and the GUKPT UK Heads Up Championship, so he also starts with 25,000.

What also makes this event unique is that the players vote for the prize distribution at the start of the event, whether they want a top heavy or a flat payout structure. The runners for the event so far look like this:
