Richard Gryko Wins GUKPT UK Heads Up Championship[/B]

Yesterday Richard Gryko defeated GUKPT London Champion Martin Silke in the final of the £5000 GUKPT Heads Up Championship, and in doing so leapfrogged Silke into the top of the Player of the Year race – by half a point!

Gryko won the £1000 NL side event earlier this week to climb the ranks and is now in contention to win the £20,000 Player of the Year prize. There are still quite a few events to go between now and the Champion of Champions event in Luton and you can expect both men to be fighting tooth and nail for precious ranking points between now and then.
