The Pokerstars Italian Poker Tour heads to San Remo later this month and adds a new €10,000 high rollers event. After a huge field created a massive prize pool at the Italian Poker Tour's (IPT) last stop, beautiful San Remo on the shores of the Ligurian Sea is getting ready to host more big IPT action. Pokerstars.it presents the 3rd stop in Italy's official poker tour taking place from the 24th to 31st of August.
The tournament will take place at the casino San Remo, it boasts a 4 day format that allows for longer levels than before. The €10,000 high rollers event is also set to be televised.
At the beginning of June, the Italian Poker Tour's first Sanremo event was a great success, with 255 players paying the €2200 buy in building a prize pool of almost €500 000! The top class event attracted professional players and a poker stars such as Isabell "no mercy" Mercier. Earlier this month in the IPT's 2nd stop, 21 year old Manchester native Matt Perrins bested 439 players including Team Pokerstars Pros Marcel Luske, Luca Pagano, Dario Minieri, Vanessa Rousso, Chad Brown and Johnny Lodden to take home the top prize of €200,000 at the beautiful "Ca' Noghera" in Venice.
