The third installment of the popular Portoroz Poker Open tournaments kicks off next week in the beautiful sun drenched seaside town of Portoroz Slovenia. Italians took home over €35,000 in prizes last event but Slovenian players as well as pros from Hungary, Austria and Croatia will be fighting for recognition next Wednesday the 24th to Sunday the 28th.

Past Portoroz Poker Festivals generated an impressive flow of players, with an average of more than 100 participants for each event. In March, the tournament attracted international poker pros such as Cristiano Blanco, Fabrizio Ascari, Alberto Russo (official EPT commentator), Umberto Vitagliano and Riccardo Lacchinelli.

The 2 day main event is a €1000 (+€100) no-limit Texas hold'em Freezeout. Last year's tournament winner Lorenzo Lagana took home €16,500!

This third seasonal festival of poker at Portoroz Slovenia will be held at the gorgeous Grand Metropol Hotel and Casino from the 24th to the 28th of June. Organizers are expecting a large turnout as european poker players look to combine a relaxing vacation with hot nightlife and of course, big tournament poker action.
