Coming Up on the Club

Once again the premier magazine show on Sky Poker, The Club, is packed to the rafters with top guests in the next seven days. Right now you can see repeats of Tikay in the studio talking about the latest APAT event at Walsall. On Friday Roy 'The Boy' Brindley is in the studio talking about his colourful new biography and gives viewers a chance to win a copy.

Finally on a very busy episode on Monday, Mike Lacey is in the studio talking about the European Deepstack Poker Championships that have just gone down as well as the upcoming shorthanded festival. Jeff Kimber talks to Dan Lobb and John Tabatabai does some more in depth hand analysis.

Green Joker Poker Shorthanded Festival

As we mentioned above, there is a fantastic shorthanded festival taking place in Ireland brought to you by the innovators of the European Deepstack Poker Championships. Recognising that most players today prefer 6 max games, at least online, this juicy looking festival takes place 4th-7th June 2009 at The BallsBridge Inn, Dublin.

The Main Event is €1000+€100 with a Guaranteed €150,000 prize pool. It will be dealer dealt 6 handed tournament with 20,000 starting chips and a 1hr clock. All the side events and cash games will be 6 max, which means this really is not one to be missed. The only reason you don't see more 6 max games in live casinos is because they are not cost effective as cramming 10 players round the same table, but the Green Joker Poker guys have once again created an event that poker players will want to play in.

Watch this space for news of iPoker wide satellites to this amazing looking event, the full schedule for which looks like this:

Thurs 4th June 8pm - Super Sat €100+€10 1 rebuy or top up
