UKPN Preview: The European Deepstack Poker Championships

UKPN Preview: The European Deepstack Poker Championships 0001

The European Deepstack Poker Championships in Drogheda, Ireland is arranged by Green Joker Poker and looks to be the best structured tournament for 2008.

The 8 day festival starts on the 2nd of February and also has side events for those who bust out early or prefer to play smaller events.

1st tournament is a €550 short handed no limit hold'em event, then a €550 Pot Limit Omaha championship two days later. These events are special because you start with a 20,000 starting chips and a 1 hour clock – which is amazing value.

The €1500 No Limit Hold'em event has the deepest stack 50,000 starting chips and a one hour clock. The blinds start at 25/50, which means everyone starts with an amazing 1000 big blinds. Basically you don't have to play a hand for a few hours/days before you make a move.

Big names already confirmed are Barny Boatman, Joe Beevers and Padraig Parkinson and we expect this year's champion, Jen Mason, to be defending her crown.

You can win your seat for as little as $2 on Green Joker Poker and there is a direct super satellite every other Sunday for $270. Don't forget that with Pokernews you get a free $10 cash or $25 tournament voucher on top of the $500 bonus when you sign up to Green Joker Poker with us.
