ECOOP Kicks off With $150k NLHE Event #1 0001

The European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP) commenced last Friday at Titan Poker with the $150k NL Hold'em event. This tournament started a ten day online festival with a combined guaranteed $2,500,000 over the ten different events.

The series will reach its exciting conclusion on December the 9th with a $1,000,000 Main Event. UK PokerNews will be providing our readers with a round-up of all the events.

The battle for the first ECOOP bracelet had 1049 players competing for a prizepool of $209,800. This was a much higher amount than the $150k guarantee, providing players with a great opportunity.

The final table commenced with a very even chip count. Congratulations to the following players on making the final table:

cesarionII 138,848
Playboy12 475,228
Donkaments 351,272
Blussky 379,589
bearbeer (D) 232,712
wasolexxx 214,260
ChipSilo 271,762
majstorex 572,128
jessica86 511,202

The first player eliminated at the final table was "Chipsilo" when his {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} ran into "Donkaments" {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}. After a queen fell on the flop, Chipsilo made his move on the turn and wasn't able to improve.

Next to go was the short stacked "cesarionll". All-in pre-flop with {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, "cesarionll" was called by a dominating "Donkaments" with {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. When the {q-Spades} arrived on the turn, "cesarionll" was out in 8th place.

"bearbeer" was eliminated next in 7th position. All in pre-flop with {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, "bearbeer" was another player knocked out by {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}. This time the player holding the goods was "jessica86".

"jessica86" had a fantastic five minutes. Her next victim was "Playboy12", who moved under the gun with {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, only to run into "jessica86" with {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. "Donkaments" and "jessica86" were dominating the table at this stage, opening massive chip leads over their opponents. Both had stacks in excess of a million chips.

An extremely short stacked "Blussky(D)" was the next to go in 5th place. "Blussky" pushed 79k pre flop with {a-Spades}{6-Spades} and ran into "majstorex" on the BB with {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. When the {j-Spades} fell on the flop it was all over for "Blussky".

"wasolexxx" was the next player to get knocked out. He was extremely unlucky when calling "DOnkaments" massive raise in a battle of the blinds, putting him all-in. "Donkaments" turned over {9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and "Wasolexxx" {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. The flop was a very scary {7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and when the turn came the {10-Spades} is was all over for "wasolexxx".

"majstorex" opened up a massive lead over "Donkaments" when he knocked out "jessica86" in 3rd place. "jessica86" was all-in for over 1.1 million chips pre-flop with {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}. "majstorex" made the call with {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and when the flop came {j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} he had taken the lead. "jessica86" was unable to improve on the turn or river and was out in 3rd.

After only 5 minutes heads up "majstorex" had opened up a massive chip lead of 3 million to 200k over "Donkaments". When "Donkaments" found {q-Spades}{j-Spades} he moved all-in and was called by "majstorex" with {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. The flop helped neither and when the {q-Diamonds} fell on the turn "Donkaments" had taken the lead. But the {a-Spades} on the river ended the tournament and "majstorex" was the winner.

Congratulations on all the players who made the final table and won the following payouts;

majstorex $44,059
Donkaments $23,078
jessica86 $16,784
wasolexxx $12,588
Blussky $10,490
Playboy12 $8,392
bearbeer $6,294
cesarionII $4,196
ChipSilo $2,937
