Are Poker Magazines Now 'Top Shelf' Material?

Barry Carter's innocent (we believe you Barry) trip to the newsagents made for an awkward moment or two as he attempted to reach for the higher shelves where, bizarrely, the poker publications were kept.

We have the same situation in US. That's IF they're even carried at all. I can't believe the lack of poker magazines at airport shops. They've got surfing magazines but no poker. And I'm not talking about airports in areas where they may surf but midwestern airports.

That's amazing Dave. Surely poker has surpassed surfing in popularity especially in the middle of the US!? The sheer volume of poker magazines around has to be a big indication of how popular our game has become.

The UK PokerNews magazine hopes to topple them all, of course! We have a great Editor on board in Mel Lofthouse and an exciting team of writers.

In the UK, we have a few great titles plus one called Flush, which almost belongs on the top shelf.

The focus is on boobs with a little bit of copy about a certain card game. If I want that I'll buy Zoo.

RT @barrygreenstein: I'm at Mike Sexton's VIP dinner. Joe Stapleton found out the food is free. His pockets are full and Scott is helping.
