i think slowplaying preflop here is fine. the blinds are early, so pumping it up wont chase anyone out, and it gives away your hand. Carlos is very good and tricky so he knows he can play AK postflop like the best in the world.

We already saw that he will defend his blinds. It was especially cheap to do so here. 6-1 pot odds on calling the flop bet which was probably just a CB anyway. Gets to check the turn for a free gutshot and hits. I may have bet a little smaller than 3/4 pot but I'm guessing he's wanting to make it look like a steal attempt.
One thing to look at, he's keeping his bets small early in the hand and then putting the pressure on when he senses weakness. The small bets preserve his stack but still give him the lead in the hand.
I'm not sure if he would have laid down the AJh preflop but here's what happens when you slow play AA. I understand his opponents just calling with AA UTG but it backfired on him. Why just call the raise preflop? Disguise the hand? Well, it got disguised.
A-7 is a little weak to call an all in with but here the short-stack has only 855 chips and Hero already has 100 in the pot so he has to call 755 to not only win 1710 but also eliminate an opponent.
Nice call on the flop. I think that if his opponent bet the turn, he would have won the hand. Instead he elected to check it down. Tough to fire that second shot.
Here he calls on the flop with ace high then gets very lucky and catches runner-runner for the flush. I guess his opponent felt like the 1000 bet on the river was a steal attempt.
I didn't post the hands but Hero has been raising almost every hand preflop and betting every flop to amass chips. He's really keeping the pressure on his opponent.
