Ok playing a live re-buy tourny a couple of weeks ago it was a bit crazy because it was cheap £10 re-buy anyhow. . .

preflop 3 of us all in, cards were on their backs
Emma Ah Kh
Mark

Kc Kd
John

5d 6d

flop

2c As 8h

Mark gets up and leaves, gone, different room.

turn

10s

river

Kc!!!!

Mark has gone but they proceed to push all the chips to where he was sitting and make us wait ten mins while someone goes to get him back.

Surely you cannot collect chips if you are not there? It's not like he was just standing up and pretending to put his coat on, he had left the room and in his and our minds left the tournament. Emma (meee Tongue) calls the cardroom supervisor for a ruling and he says "uh duh i dunno yeah let him have em"

Being the friendly girl that i am i shook Marks hand and we carried on playing, supervisors decision is final and all that.

But was it the right decision?

I'll explain in a reverse logic way. If you are in a tournament and you leave the room, aren't your blinds and antes collected? So you can lose chips while not there.

To win a hand,
1. you must be seated when the hand is dealt---he was.
2. you must be at the table until all action is complete--he was.
3. you must show both cards--he did since he was all in.

Sorry, he wins. BUT, it is not the staffs responsibility to "go get him". That should be up to his friends to do. The game should continue as normal. Until he returned, his blinds and antes should be removed from his stack.

(A-Hearts)(A-Spades)Just another KITNs. You'll get used to them.(A-Diamonds)(A-Clubs)

I like your reversed logic approach dave. Its a good way of solving these type of problems or atleast attempt to solve them Wink.

Unlucky though peach sad would of been nice obviously to have won that pot.

Btw do they use a table line of some sort at that casino ?

Thanks Dave. And yes Lawrence wouldve been nice, still made the money though

They do use a table line but only on the final table and we self deal unitl the final table aswell which tbf i prefer because most of our dealers are pretty dumb Tongue (hope none of them read that tho :S)

There wasnt a line it wasn't the final table but he did push them into the middle, the trouble is that particular card room is quite new and they havent really taught the staff very well its always us telling them the rules. I asked for a clock the other day because this moron was just fucking about when we all new he was gonna fold for about the 1000000 time and the dealer just stood there like a complete prat as if i was talking alien.

Yeah once we have educated them lol there was another hand a couple of games after that where some guy was making a really tough decision and the supervisor comes up after about 30 seconds and says "right im gonna have to call a clock on you" and we were like no you r not we dont want a clock on him, go away (i toned it down for the forum lol) It better improve soon! I cant wait to come play in Adam
