Good article. One thing to remember.....you can't win a tournament in the early stage but you can sure as hell lose one.

i totally agree with u davega!
the article is definitely a good read, like all the others
but i didn't catch the meaning of the M in this sentence: "Therefore you can play a little looser in a guaranteed tournament as you would do in a normal MTT since your M is much higher."
i guess it is referred to the double stack, but what does that stand for?
can someone help me?
meglio l'uomo che ripushava i cavalli o l'uomo che ripottava le capre??!! (cit.)

M is the ratio of your stack vs the total blinds+antes. In the guaranteed tourneys, chip stacks are higher so you have a higher M. Basically, M tells you how many rounds you can play assuming you play no hands. This is especially important at the end of tourneys. Your M controls which hands you should play. At 10, you have pretty liberal starting hand requirements. At 5, very liberal. At 2, any 2 cards that you can be 1st into the pot with.

Just another KITNs. You'll get used to them.
