I guess all the media and poker companies are happy as they will be able to hype and market it even more then they allready do.
For the players sake i personally dont like they idea of it. First of all the main event was also a stamina event (a test of endurance). Second of all players will be able to gather third party information and improve their game compared to what it actually was at the time the final table was reached.
Then think of the amount of money involved at a Main Event final table. What if one of the final tableists isnt such a nice guy and is able to put pressure (read death threads
) on the other players durring the period leading up the the live broadcast (similar to what happens with jury's).
It would probably pay of more then your average armed robbery.
